Great news! The much expected and rumored Pixelbook was released today and Google had a surprise for the enthusiasts: the Pixelbook can be pre-ordered now at just $999 instead of $1,199 as we were all expecting.

You can pre-order the Pixelbook in three configurations, with up to 512 GB storage and 16GB RAM and choose between 7th generation i7 and i5 processors.

Google also prepared some pretty cool videos for you to see how it works. If you decide to buy one, just head to the Google Store and pre-order one of the Core i5 models; the starting price, for a Pixelbook of 128GB storage and 8GB RAM, is $999 and if you choose to pay $1,199, you will get 256GB storage.

However, if you want to spend more money on it, you will also get more benefits.

For $1,649, you can get the 7th generation Core i7 with 512 GB storage, 16GB RAM and also join the waitlist to have the new Chrome OS monster available among the first.

And if you’re at it, check out the Pixelbook Pen; with over 2000 levels of pressure sensitivity, a 10mx latency, and a 60-degree angular awareness, it was designed in partnership with Wacom and it is now available for $99.

One of the cool features of the Pixelbook Pen is that you can interact with your Google Assistant using the barrel-button. Interacting with the Assistant is easy and all you have to do is press or hold the barrel button, select text or draw a sign on your display.

Regardless of the rumors and speculations circulated so far, the certain thing is that the Pixelbook is going to open up your online world to new exploring possibilities and paired with Google’s new Chrome, the experience will definitely be special.
