A new, improved Education Chromebook will make student  life a lot easier. CTL, the American computer company has recently launched  a new improved version of their top class Education Chromebook. According to the specs list, the device looks quite strong and at the moment, it is one of the best on the market.

Endowed with a powerful quad-core Intel Bay Trail processor, CTL’s NL6 Education Chromebook, folds out flat thanks to its 180 degree hinge: the former feature makes it more durable, as it is harder to break or snap.

Another interesting thing to know is that its processor, an Intel N2940, is a lot faster than the processors used in many other Chromebooks. Take the Acer C200 for instance; its dual-core N2830 is 70% slower than the N2940.

As for the storage part, we can tell you that you’ll have a 16GB SSD for documents and files, and 4 GB of RAM, so that your system will work smoothly no matter how many tabs you have open.

The battery life is decent and the design is rough enough to behave well in case of drops, falls or spills. Of course, you’ll also be able to enjoy the retractable handle of the first model and the incorporated webcam.

Just as one of the heads of CTL’s stated, the first Education Chromebook was a hit among their customers from the educational field. Eric Stromquist also stated that this device helped them win public sector contract awards, such as Digital Edge and NASPO ValuePoint, formerly known as WSCA/NASPO.

This is pretty interesting to observe and their new model will definitely help them continue their path and access more clients in the educational markets, by meeting their needs for technology.

As for connectivity specs, the device has a Wi-Fi dual antennae (802.11 a/b/g/n), a full size HDMI out, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0. ports and an SD card.

Being more powerful than the most Chromebooks on the market, also makes it weigh more so the device now weighs 3.04 lbs.

So, if you’re a qualified education professional, you can buy the CTL Education Chromebook starting from $259, a price that comes with 2 year warranty. Also, if you buy it before the end of month September 2015, you’ll also get Chrome Device Management.

If you’re interested to see how it works, before buying it, head over to the ISTE conference (International Society for Technology in Education) in Philadelphia, between June 29 – July 1.
